Friendship

Friendship : 1. relationship between friends: a relationship between two or more people who are friends

2. mutually friendly feelings: the mutual feelings of trust and affection and the behavior that typify relationships between friends

3. friendly relations: a relationship between individuals, organizations, or countries that is characterized by mutual assistance, approval, and support

As a child most of us learn skills like communication, sharing, and playing fair. These skills help us through out our life in many different types of relationships. We learn these things from friendships we have as a child. As we get older friendships become a different than the ones we have as a child. We are now looking for more than someone to play dress up or in the dirt with.

We still look for friends that like the same things we do but the bond in most friendships are stronger. As we discover love, sex, and inner feeling we did not know about as a child we start looking for friends to share that with. Finding this person that is not going to make us feel any stranger than we already feel as a teenager becomes very important.

Now we a grown. We have kids and grand kids of our own. Something these friendships are no longer needed. I think they are needed more now than ever. Things in our life change very fast now. Some of us are just beginning to learn who we really are and that there is nothing wrong with us. Now we need friends that will not judge us because we want to serve or have a fetish some find strange. We need friends to help us thought the bad times and laugh with us through the good times.

You may meet a lot of people that you call friend but finding a true friend is a little different. A true friend you trust with anything. They are there when you cry and feel You can not go on. They offer that soft push or kick in the rear to make you go on. They help you learn and laugh. Most all they make safe being who you are.

I am very blessed to have friends like this in my life. I do not think i could have made it through the last year without them pushing and sometime kicking me in the rear.
